Website Authority Checker - Free Website Authority Score Tool

Website Authority Checker

Über Website Authority Checker

The Website Authority Checker measures how authoritative a website is on a simple 0-10 scale. It uses the free OpenPageRank metric, an open implementation of the original PageRank algorithm computed from Common Crawl web data.

How to use: Enter up to 20 domains (one per line) and click the check button. Each domain gets a score from 0 to 10 - higher means more authoritative. You can download all results as a CSV file.

Why it matters: Authority scores help you compare websites at a glance - useful for SEO research, competitor analysis, and deciding which sites are worth getting backlinks from.

Note: This score is OpenPageRank, an independent open metric - it is not Moz Domain Authority. A free OpenPageRank API key (1,000 checks/day) is required and is configured by the site administrator.

How to Use Domain Authority Checker: Step by Step

1. Enter the domain you want to score — your own site or a competitor’s.
2. Run the check and wait a few seconds for the authority score from 0 to 10.
3. Read the score: a higher number means a stronger, more trusted link profile according to the scoring model.
4. Score your main competitors as well, so you can see the gap you need to close.
5. Repeat the check monthly to track whether your link-building efforts are moving the needle.

Pro Tips

• Treat the score as a comparative yardstick, not an official Google metric — Google does not use this exact number in its ranking systems.
• It is much harder to move from 7 to 8 than from 2 to 3, because gains get progressively tougher at the top of the scale.
• Build the score the honest way by publishing content that earns real editorial links over time, rather than chasing shortcuts.
